MacBook Air | MacBook Pro |
---|---|
The MacBook Air is really light and easy to carry. It looks amazing, it's sleek, stylish and stands out, it's very fast and the battery life is quite good. You can use it for pretty much the whole day without needing to charge it. Even though it is expensive it's slightly less than the pro, which can be the difference if you're on a budget. | This is way more powerful than the Air, the Air is not very good at heavy tasks like video editing, which the Pro excels at. It has a brighter and more vibrant screen, which just helps to immerse yourself. However, it, much bulkier and heavier to carry around. |
Dell XPS 15 | MacBook Air |
---|---|
The Dell has more charging ports including a security one, unlike the Air which like all Apple laptops is more ultra-minimalised. The Dell's performance is much better. It has a 13th gen intel core i7 which has 14 cores unlike Apple's 8. Also the memory is double in RAM and SSD. The software the Dell runs (Windows 11) is much faster and you can customise your laptop much more than on a Mac. | The Apple charger is a MagSafe, meaning if you run into the cable it won't pull your laptop off the table and destroy it, but simply come off. Apple's chargers are much nicer in design because the MacBooks are engineered for lower power requirements. Apple's display has 2.5x times the amount of pixels that the Dell has. Becaus Apple's chips are customised the software is optimized to the Air unlike the Dell. The Air doesn't have any fans meaning there is no noise from it. The battery is way better on the Apple and it has a much slower charger. Apple is more secure because less people use it so its software is less at risk. |
